CONCEPT

A first series of simple compositions introduce the main characters into a serene and carefree atmosphere accompanied by cheerful musical series. Faithfully following the original plot written by Collodi, the main characters, Geppetto, Talking Cricket, the Blue Fairy, the Cat and the Fox, and Mangiafuoco’s theatre, all make their appearance on stage. The young listeners are gradually drawn into a music crescendo that will accompany Pinocchio through a series of adventures inside the belly of the terrible dogfish. As in the original tale, the opera does not fail to deliver a happy ending and bring the children back to a joyful atmosphere, living them pondering about a more optimist future.
